On Wednesday FC Bellevue Club Director Caspar Pauckstadt met with Clemson University Headcoach and lifelong friend Mike Noonan. The two met for the first time in the early 80s when Noonan was training with Malmö FF as talented american player. In the mid 90s Pauckstadt was invited over to the US to coach together with Noonan at University of New Hampshire (UNH). After UNH Noonan landed the prestigeaous position as the Head coach for Ivy League School Brown University in Providence. After 15 years of record breaking resultats at Brown he moved on to one of the most progressiv soccer programs in the United States, Clemson University in South Carolina. Clemson is running an extremely succesful athletic program. In 2016 the Football Team (amerikansk fotboll) became National Champions. Their stadium is bigger then Camp Nou in Barcelona and they have over 90 000 people on every home game!! In 2015 Noonan took Clemson Soccer Team to the National final and was also named coach of the year for that.
Currently he is on a recruiting trip to Sweden/Europe and took the time to check out the young talented FC Bellevue players training on Wednesday evening, and he was very pleased with what he saw.
